About Sahar Mirzaee
I’m a Senior Data Scientist currently working on building and shipping AI systems in healthcare. Most of my work sits at the intersection of machine learning and product, focusing on how to take models out of notebooks and make them actually useful in real-world decisions that have business impact. Recently, I’ve been working more with LLMs and NLP on messy, unstructured data, and figuring out how to make those systems reliable enough to use in practice. Before that, I spent a lot of time working on large-scale network and geospatial problems, analyzing human behavior using high-volume datasets and building models that informed public sector decisions. I will always be a geospatial data-enthusiast at heart. I’m generally drawn to problems that are a bit ambiguous, where there’s a mix of technical depth and real-world impact.
