About Sahand Hadizadeh
I’m a Ph.D. graduate in Mechanical Engineering with a strong academic foundation in control theory and its core subfields, including optimal control, model predictive control (MPC), and robust control. My passion lies in applying these principles to build intelligent, real-world systems. Previously, I interned at Honda Research Institute, where I designed and implemented advanced motion planning and nonlinear MPC algorithms for connected automated vehicles (CAVs), tackling complex lane change maneuvers to ensure safe and efficient navigation. I’m especially interested in the intersection of control theory, robotics, reinforcement learning, and intelligent systems, where theory meets practice.
