WORK HISTORY
Senior Software Engineer @BurdaVerlag
Munich, DE
Since joining BurdaVerlag, my role has grown far beyond Software Engineering. I’ve contributed not only to building high-quality mobile applications but also to shaping the team and its culture as we scaled.I worked on two major apps, FOCUS+ and Mein Schöner Garten, developed with Expo (React Native). During this time, I delivered several complex, high-impact features such as E-Paper integration, offline downloads, camera based plant scanning, custom prebuild plugins (CNG), and a full calendar module, among others.I also helped create and maintain our internal shared components library, which significantly improved development speed, consistency across products, and our overall scalability.Collaboration played a big part in my journey, I worked closely with QA and automation teams, product owners, frontend and backend developers, and integrated GraphQL into the mobile apps while driving ongoing performance improvements.Being the first engineer on the team, I naturally stepped into broader responsibilities: supporting new colleagues during onboarding, helping them ramp up smoothly, and growing into a more leadership focused role over time.

ABOUT SAHAND MAHDAVI NOSHAHR
I\'m a Senior React Native Developer with over six years of experience shaping digital experiences that feel natural, fluid, and alive. To me, code isn\'t just syntax, it\'s a material, like clay or paint, through which I craft intuitive, scalable apps that people love to use.I move between frontend and backend like a painter moving between light and shadow, balancing clean architecture with human-centered design. Whether it\'s React Native, TypeScript, Python, or GraphQL, I see every line of code as a brushstroke in a larger composition. At the heart of it all is a simple goal: to build technology that feels less like a product and more like something thoughtfully made by hand.Passionate about cloud solutions, AWS, and data-driven development. Always building with performance, maintainability, and user value in mind.
