Research Technician in the Research & Translational Science team in the in-vitro/in-vivo pharmacology department. Supporting the team that carries out scientific investigations using regenerative macrophages for cell therapy for end stage liver disease, as well as other inflammatory and fibrotic diseases. The Research Technician supporting the translation of laboratory discoveries into clinical and commercial applications according to the company’s research plan.Core responsibilities:Work closely with the line manager to support the unit\'s day-to-day execution of basic laboratory procedures.• Work in close collaboration with the RAs and RSs to perform complex laboratory procedures, including RNA extraction, analysis, and cell culture to support ongoing research projects.• Carry out laboratory procedures following SOPs with a degree of independence.• Able to prioritise laboratory work according to deadlines set by the manager.• Collaborate with the other scientists to collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data using statistical software;prepare comprehensive reports and summaries for research teams.• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records of own laboratory activities and results.• Maintain accurate records of reagents and materials across the unit and cross-functionally with other units in thedepartment.• Collaborate with lab manager to ensure efficient stocking and procurement of laboratory consumables and reagentsdept-wide• Collaborate with lab manager to uphold required laboratory hygiene and tidiness standards, and manage and maintainlaboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning, calibration, and compliance with safety standards (dept-wide).Skills: Human and Mouse Tissue Processing, Human and Mouse cell culture, Human and Mouse RNA processing and Transfections, MSD, ELISA, Cell Cryopreservation, histology and image analysis, Cell imaging, Flow-Cytometry, statistical and data analysis, research paper journal club, presentations.
