ABOUT SRIYANK SAGI

I am a Master’s student in Data Science at the University of Maryland, College Park, with a strong interest in building practical, real-world data and machine learning systems. My academic background in Electrical and Computer Engineering shaped my approach to problem-solving, system design, and performance, which naturally led me toward applied data science and machine learning.I have gained industry experience as a Data Scientist Intern at Magnasoft, where I worked on deploying data-driven and computer vision solutions for large-scale, real-world applications. Through this role and my academic work, I developed a strong appreciation for turning models into usable systems rather than stopping at experimentation.Currently, I work as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland, where I am involved in data-driven research and support graduate-level deep learning coursework. These roles have strengthened my ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly while working with large datasets and modern machine learning techniques.Overall, I enjoy working at the intersection of data, software, and systems, and I am motivated by opportunities where data-driven solutions can create measurable impact. I am actively exploring roles in data science, machine learning, and data engineering where I can continue to learn, contribute, and grow.
