About Sage Sulenta
I am a unique individual who likes to champion change and is a strong contributor. I am one who thinks visually outside of the box with my photographic memory. My career took off when I started drawing street maps in grade school. I enjoyed visiting my grandparents’ house on Saturday afternoons when I pulled out their Phoenix street finders and started drawing. To this point I am a subject matter expert at cartographic design, data analysis, documentation and database management. I have received my Bachelor’s of Arts in GIS/Cartography from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007, I started my internship with Rio Verde Engineering by mapping. With advancement opportunities, I moved to the Pacific Northwest to work for Naverus, Inc. At Naverus, I managed the terrain and flight navigation datasets for the technical pilots, flight path designers and CAD drafters. I launched a tool known as the Flight Obstacle Validation Survey Plan which enabled tech pilots to update RNP procedures while performing en-route surveys. I also collaborated with team members on the noise metrics study for Dallas Love Field airport to alleviate noise emissions. At Honeywell Aerospace, I advanced into a Project Manager role (GIS Engineer II) where I lead a software development and engineering team to process data for the Honeywell RAAS and EGPWS databases. I managed the StarTeam CM system in which I directed the HTS engineering team to process and review data per CR basis. I verified and validated the data they processed and closed out the CR lifecycle to launch media file production. I lead two internal tool developments for Honeywell. One tool measured terrain vertical accuracies for product integrity while the other tool performed quick checks on source datasets to streamline oversight review. I also lead the Honeywell ARINC 56-Day Cycle release activities for the RAAS & EGPWS. Afterwards, I elected to complete my MBA from Syracuse University to embellish my analytical and managerial skills. Currently, I work as a Senior GIS Analyst with Cushman & Wakefield. I conduct market forecasts for quick service franchises like Wendy’s. My team at Cushman & Wakefield in the Phoenix, Arizona office generated the most maps than any other branch office in 2020. I implemented an effective mapping strategy for the Las Vegas branch office. My team managed the map production for their branch. I am working with the national team on orchestrating a new geodatabase library in which all GIS analysts can access data on-the-fly to generate maps for customers nationwide.
