I am currently a Compliance Safety Officer at Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School with a strong background in occupational safety across education, construction, manufacturing, environmental, and consulting environments. I hold both a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety (2016) and a Master of Science in Occupational Safety (2021) from Keene State College. Additionally I am a Certified Safety Professional with over 10 years of industry experience. I believe in a practical, and relatable approach to safety that involves front line/field focused staff all the way up to C-suite executives in an effort to create and develop safety culture within an organization. Throughout my career, I have assisted organizations in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of internal Health & Safety programs. My experience includes providing technical safety expertise for planning, regional management to support the development of new locations/acquisitions, risk assessments, collaboration with external clients & stakeholders, and on-site safety support across a wide range of high-risk work activities. I regularly apply formal risk assessment methodologies and Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles to help organizations manage risk in a practical, effective way with the goal of being visible and effective in fostering an environment of safety culture. I have supported compliance efforts and safety planning across diverse regulatory frameworks and work scopes, helping organizations meet requirements while maintaining operational efficiency. My project experience includes providing health and safety support for large-scale and complex work such as environmental remediation, utility services, heavy construction, drilling operations, offshore wind development, environmental investigations, coal combustion residual work, work over water, and subsurface investigations.A key strength of my approach is the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels of an organization. I focus on building strong working relationships that support positive safety culture, influence safe behavior, and deliver training that is relevant, practical, and aligned with real-world conditions. This approach allows me to translate regulatory requirements into workable safety programs that are understood, adopted, and sustained.
