About Sagar Vora
I am currently pursuing my Master\'s in Computer Science from Indiana University Bloomington. As a graduate student in Computer Science, my educational qualification along with my past work experience in the IT industry has equipped me with the analytical and technical skills making me an ideal candidate seeing internship in software development in the summer of 2017.Before pursuing my master\'s, I worked as a senior software engineer at Capgemini India Pvt Limited from November 2013 to July 2016. At Capgemini, I was working for the client General Electric in Product Lifecycle Development using Dassault System\'s Enovia Application. Working in PLM domain has expanded my skill set to include Enovia Development, enormous client interaction and Leadership skills. My primary responsibilities comprised tackling use-cases that outlined new requirements along with enhancements and developing the client application based on those requirements in an Agile Development Model along with a team of 30 members. My outstanding performance during critical situations led me to earn the “Xtra Mile” award and appraisal by my clients and managers. I further went on to complete an International certification called “Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 6 Programmer” while handling corporate responsibilities. This position not only gave me an opportunity to work as a developer but also provided me different roles such as Business Analyst, Test Lead & Mentor as well. The experience at Capgemini provided me with the better outlook and approach to tackle problems even in my day to day life. I am very keen in learning different new technologies and programming languages. I always believe the quality of code determines the type of programmer you are and so I try to follow all the coding standards from using proper design patterns to code refactoring to removing the bad coding smells. I have specialized skills in web development and Database Management.
