Responsibilities: 1. Safety Standards Compliance: Stay updated with functional safety standards (ISO 13849, ISO 10218, IEC 62061, IEC 61508) to apply the latest safety guidelines and practices in robotics projects. Risk Assessment and Hazard Analysis: Collaborate to identify hazards, assess risks with FMEA and FTA, and implement risk reduction measures, safety interlocks, and redundancy strategies. Safety Requirement Specification: Define comprehensive safety requirements based on risk assessments and standards. Integrate them into the entire robotic system\'s architecture. Creating Safety Architecture for Robotic Systems: Develop safety architectures encompassing hardware, software, and communication interfaces. Employ fail-safe and fail-silence concepts for safe operation. Functional Safety Validation: Plan, develop, and execute validation tests to assess safety measures. Collaborate with teams to enhance safety performance. Safety Analysis Documentation: Maintain detailed safety documentation, including safety architecture design, safety cases, reports, and analyses. Ensure compliance and transparency. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to integrate safety practices throughout robotic system development. Safety Culture Promotion: Foster a safety-first culture within the organization through safety training and emphasizing functional safety in all aspects of robotics development.
