WORK HISTORY
Csfn Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow @University of Montana
Missoula County, MT, US
As an intern in the Grimes neuroscience lab, I will contribute to bioengineering craniofacial cartilage constructs from human neural crest stem cells (NCSCs) under a PhD student\'s mentorship. Employing cutting-edge techniques like 3D bioprinting, single-cell RNA sequencing, and computational modeling, I will optimize NCSC differentiation into cartilage tissue by elucidating key signaling pathways and incorporating native extracellular matrix components like hyaluronic acid hydrogels. The goal is to bioengineer patient-specific cartilage constructs for regenerative therapies. This interdisciplinary approach spanning stem cell biology, developmental biology, biomaterials, and tissue engineering holds immense potential for transforming the treatment of craniofacial abnormalities through personalized medicine. It is gratifying to contribute to such impactful translational research.
