As a supplier engineer my primary responsibilities at Intuitive Surgical is as follows:• Work closely with suppliers, design, manufacturing, and project teams to implement performance, quality, capacity, and cost improvements. • Develop suppliers to excel in all KPls including Quality, Capacity, and Sub-tier Management. • Empower suppliers to own completion of part qualification (PPQP) deliverables such as: pFMEA, Special Process Validations, First Article Inspection (FAI), Cpk Studies, Capacity Studies, DfX, and cost analysis. • Apply improvements for supplier process issues by using true root cause analysis and corresponding corrective and preventive actions (SCAR).• Seek out new suppliers in support of product needs. • Lead and support supplier audits. • Coordinate project plans and timelines and communicate to stakeholders on status of the projects.
