While Sadira’s practice focuses on banking and financing transactions, you’ll also find she provides sound advice the areas of mergers and acquisitions and general corporate/contractual work. She has extensive experience in negotiating, leveraged finance, project finance and asset based lending transactions for both borrowers and lenders. She negotiates bilateral and syndicated credit facilities and debt offerings ranging in size from the hundreds of thousands to the billions. She also works on commercial transactions: from an acquisition or a divesture to creative structuring of private corporations, partnership or franchise transactions, she can provide sound and practical advice from the preliminary establishment of the business relationship through to the negotiating, drafting and closing of the deal. One of the region’s leading practitioners in the area of renewable energy, including wide-ranging expertise in wind, hydrogen, tidal and solar energy. Sadira has represented clients from the beginning stages of a project to its eventual de-commissioning since the beginning of the industry in Atlantic Canada. Her focus on, and understanding of, this industry and its complex regulatory and compliance regimes makes her well positioned to provide sound and strategic advice to Canada\'s next generation of renewable energy projects: from offshore wind to residential and commercial retro fit programs and property assessed financing. In the fisheries, another uniquely regulated industry, she has a depth of knowledge of the unique aspects of the topic and the interaction between the regulators, the commercial fishery and other significant stakeholders such as Indigenous Peoples in Canada which she teaches to the next generation at Dalhousie University. She’s considered a leading expert in Canada by her peers.
