His work centers equity, culturally rooted healing, and youth leadership—especially among Black boys and young men.He currently serves as Vice President of Alliance Community at America’s Promise Alliance, where he helps lead a national network of over 150 high-impact youth-serving organizations. In this role, Sadiq cultivates collaboration, policy change, and field-level impact in education, mental health, postsecondary success, and civic engagement—helping organizations share power, amplify youth voice, and deepen collective impact.Sadiq is also Co-Founder of the Baltimore Rites of Passage Initiative (BROPI), an African-centered mentoring and manhood development organization for Black men and boys in Baltimore City. Grounded in ancestral wisdom and community accountability, BROPI uses culturally relevant rites of passage, intergenerational mentorship, and life skills development to guide youth through critical transitions and nurture holistic well-being.In 2024, Sadiq was mayorally appointed to serve as a Commissioner on the Baltimore City Community Reinvestment and Reparations Commission and recently elected Vice-Chair, Community Voice & Engagement. There, he helps shape restorative investment strategies that center the voices and needs of historically harmed communities. His approach emphasizes not just economic repair, but cultural restoration and long-term community empowerment.A proud graduate of Morgan State University—an HBCU and thee national treasure—Sadiq brings an unapologetically Afrocentric lens to leadership, strategy, and social impact.
