About Sadie Teper
Being a creative is tough. After jumping between a few creative roles, I realized there was more “business” than “fun” in creativity. I spent too much time trying to please clients and not enough time enjoying my own work. Enter Twentysome Design — a side project where I could design for fun. It quickly grew into a business with greeting cards, notepads, and all things paper. As a stationery junkie, it felt like a dream come true. But. as with all good things, burnout crept in. I found myself stuck in a creative rut, only designing because I had to, not because I wanted to. Sure, I had the branding down, the products were selling, and my CRM system was top-notch — but the joy was harder to find. I spent more and more time planning launches, and perfecting the backend of the business. That’s when I realized something important: I loved the business side of things. The strategy, the planning, the logistics — that’s where the real magic was happening. I scaled back the business and rediscovered my love for design in a way that felt fun again. With everything I learned, it made sense to shift to project management. I knew I had the skills, but wanted the framework to back it up, so I became CAPM certified. Now, I’m a well-caffeinated ex-creative who speaks the language of every stakeholder. I used to be a designer (and sometimes a developer), and I’ve worked with marketing teams enough to know how to keep everyone on track. I thrive on turning chaos into clarity and making sure every project hits its mark. As an extrovert, I live for client chats, brainstorming sessions, and wrangling schedules. With a solution-first mindset, I’m ready to dive into tough problems and embrace change. After building a business from the ground up, I realized the magic is in the behind-the-scenes work — the strategy, the planning, the growth that turns creative ideas into reality.
