Then, I help them understand the barrier preventing them from moving forward. Once I’ve gathered data and observed misunderstandings, I persuasively communicate my clearer understanding to others. This helps businesses and consumers merge their needs and desires. In my role as a User Experience designer, I merge user expectations with company goals. Through empathy, I understand the perspective of the users and the needs of the company. Then, I’m able to bring these perspectives together to create a purposeful, beautiful product design. My first product was a rebrand of a small business. Then, I designed an app that accounts for women’s hormonal changes as they plan and schedule their time. In another project, I created clear navigation in a children’s reading app. As an intern, I helped design an app to unify and provide reliable information among Christians. Now, I’m looking to create and improve products for a company as passionate about making a difference in people’s lives as I am. I believe that we need to understand the environment and experiences of users in order to create products that ease (and even transform) their lives.
