About Sadie Cwikiel
I am an interdisciplinary climate and marine scientist, currently studying and researching how modes of climate variability impact coral reef and other tropical marine ecosystems in a changing climate as a PhD student at UCSB\'s Bren School of Environmental Science & Management. I have M.S. and B.S. with Honors degrees from Stanford University in Earth Systems with a focus in oceanography, climate science, and environmental justice. I have extensive research and field work experience in Palau, California, Hawaii, Peru, and the Phoenix Islands Protected Area. I have also worked to help develop, manage, and quantify emission reduction projects and low carbon fuel pathways in compliance and voluntary markets. I am passionate about environmental policy, advocacy, and effective science communication.
