From being a New York City Virus Hunter in 20••••23, I am now a near peer mentor for the new NewYork City Virus Hunters. I provide any support that the Junior Scientists need such as college mentoring or even questions in general about the program. This role will allow me to mentor high school students who have had limited access to science due to their race, gender and economic status. I am also part of the community science outreach initiative that tries to bring science to students and children that have a passion for the science field or even just curious about science in general.
