I didn’t start my career with a fixed plan — I simply enjoyed observing how people work together, what motivates them, and why some teams feel effortless while others don’t. That curiosity slowly pulled me toward Human Resources, and every internship I’ve done since has only strengthened that interest.My journey really took shape when I started supporting recruitment across different organisations. At first, I was just experimenting — posting roles on LinkedIn, Internshala, and Naukri, figuring out what kind of candidates each platform attracts. But soon, I was sourcing and screening profiles for multiple roles at once, especially tech roles, and learning how to recognise a strong fit from just a resume and a quick conversation. Over time, I realised I had built a natural rhythm for shortlisting, coordinating interviews, and keeping everything moving even when things were busy.I genuinely enjoyed the people side of hiring — those short screening calls where I could understand someone’s story, or the follow-ups that kept candidates engaged. Managing interview logistics, keeping communication clear, and avoiding delays taught me a lot about accountability and structure.Onboarding was another area I grew in. I created simple checklists, organised documentation, and supported new volunteers and hires as they settled into their teams. It felt good to see how a little clarity and structure could make someone’s first week smoother.Outside internships, being part of Enactus, Girl Up, and Raqam helped me build confidence in communication, content creation, project coordination, and teamwork. Leading and organising things didn’t feel like work — I enjoyed it.Overall, my career so far has been about learning how to bring people and opportunities together thoughtfully. I’m still growing, still curious, and genuinely excited about building a strong career in HR where people, processes, and purpose connect.
