   As a Founder and Creative Director I am responsible to build Vaarsa as a brand. To make sure that I make an impactful contribution to save this historical art form of Kolhapuri Chappal and take it to the highest level in fashion Internationally and make sure it gets the value it deserves and make India proud of its heritage.VAARSA literally means ‘Legacy’ is a movement to Sustain Traditional Art & Craftsmanship. We make authentic Kolhapuri Chappals and intend to keep the tradition alive by bridging the gap between Indian artisans and International customers. These Kohlapuri Chappals have been passed down by many generations making them more than 850+ years old.Vaarsa is the first Indian Brand to take an Indian heritage art form and launch it on Kickstarter and got 100% successfully funded that too in just 100 minutes. Our Vision is to represent and flourish the heritage art form of Kolhapuri Chappal as a global fashion icon and provide continues opportunities for artisans to have gainful livelihood.How will Vaarsa revive the Kolhapuri Chappal!• Launching Vaarsa on a global platform and reaching audience who appreciates handmade & heritage products.• Growing Vaarsa as one unifying brand of Kolhapuri Chappal• Make Kolhapuri chappal a global fashion icon• Creating awareness about the art form as a GI (Geographical Indications) product• Generating a global demand so artisans get continuous work• Paying artisans the highest remuneration in the industry, hence motivating the new generation to learn the art from.• With the help of designers creating new modern collection keeping the base of authentic designs• Representing India and taking Kolhapuri Chappal at the highest and biggest fashion events globally. Like “Paris, Milan, London and New York fashion week.
