Android Framework and Audio HAL: Modification of android framework to enable dynamic audio routing. Integrating changes in android framework to support encoded media while dynamic routing is enabled. Complete redesign and development of audio hardware abstraction layer (HAL). Audio HAL works with android car audio. It features support for music, encoded music such as Atmos/Dolby, BT Phone, Carplay Phone, Alexa and Navigation Assistance. System has independent audio data channels to route each type of audio data. System uses audio dynamic routing technology provided by android. This current release has support for the primary zone. During initial bring-up and implementation, verified project prototypes to confirm software and hardware support for audio dynamic routing. Worked on modifying existing settings application to support control for each type of audio data separately. Use of android API to find out different ids for each audio context group supported. Modifying app control and android framework to support fade and balance. Verified end to end propagation of LRM messages from application to audio-services. Development and debugging of audio services on QNX OS. Verification and integration of client supplied config files and samples for audio weaver. These audio services on one end interface with Audio HAL and other end interface with audio amplifier. Audio services interact with Audio weaver for high end audio data processing like noise cancellation, audio effects.
