ABOUT SACHIN MADHUSOODHANAN

Sachin Madhusoodhanan received the B.Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Calicut, India, in 2007, and the M.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, in 2009. From 2009 to 2011, he was with Ashok Leyland Limited, Chennai, India, where he worked as a Senior Engineer in the Advance Engineering Department. In August 2011, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina as a PhD student. He also worked as a Research Assistant at the NSF FREEDM Systems Center and DOE Power America. He worked as R&D Intern and Postdoctoral Researcher in the Power Electronics Lab at GE Global Research, Niskayuna, NY. He worked as Principal Application Engineer at ON Semiconductor from March 2017 to November 2021 in the Cloud Power BU. From November 2021 to July 2023, he worked as a Senior Staff Application Engineer at Infineon Technologies in the Enterprise Power group. Currently, he is working as a Senior Power Engineer at Google. His research interests include Power Electronics, Multiphase DC-DC Buck Converters for Server/Cloud/Data Center Applications, Medium Voltage High Power Converters, Wide Band-gap Device Applications, Solid State Transformers, Motor Drives, Renewable Energy Integration, Power Management ICs and Smart Power Stage.
