At RSPL Limited, I working as a Junior Engineer in the soda ash plant where I was responsible for a wide range of operational activities. My primary role involved the handling of various equipment critical for the production process. This included the horizontal vacuum belt filter, cyclone separation, and discharge belt conveyor. I was also actively involved in the brine preparation and purification, which is vital for the soda solution making process. One of my critical responsibilities was overseeing the filtration and calcination processes. In particular, my work on the kiln process was essential, as it defined the quality and efficiency of the final product. Every day, I used to monitor equipment performance, ensure compliance with operational standards, and implement troubleshooting procedures for any operational hiccups. My hands-on experience taught me how to swiftly diagnose and rectify issues while maintaining safety protocols. Furthermore, I collaborated closely with the production team to optimize the processes, aiming to reduce waste and increase the overall yield. I provided technical support and training to new interns, introducing them to the procedures and safety measures adopted in the plant. This role honed my problem-solving skills and improved my understanding of chemical engineering practices, enhancing my capability to contribute effectively in the dynamic manufacturing sector.
