ABOUT SACHIN CHANDELKER

I am a Power Electronics Engineer with a Master’s degree from NIT Tiruchirappalli and around 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, specializing in power electronics, DC-DC converter design, and high-voltage system testing. Currently, I am working on the design and validation of Gen 4 on-board chargers for BMW and Stellantis, focusing on PFC and CLLC converters, power supply design, and measurement circuits for 3-phase AC voltage, DC voltage, and temperature measurement (NTC/PTC). My expertise extends to testing both high-voltage systems (up to 850V DC) and low-voltage systems (3.3V to 28V).I have a proven track record in failure analysis through worst-case and Monte Carlo simulations, which has consistently led to corrective actions that enhance system reliability. I am certified under French standard Electrical approval for BE ESSAI and proficient in ISO 26262 functional safety standards, ensuring compliance in all automotive power electronics systems I work on.Throughout my career, I have designed and validated Flyback, Forward, and Buck converters, optimizing transformer performance and overall system efficiency. I’ve also developed current and voltage measurement functions for both AC and DC sides, improving system monitoring and protection. In addition, I’ve led the development of PFC and LLC driver circuits, temperature measurement functions, and hardware-software interfaces (HSI) for DSPs, ensuring seamless communication between hardware and embedded control systems.My hands-on experience includes DSP Piccolo series, microcontrollers, and Verilog description language. I’ve also undergone specialized training in VLSI design from Mavens Silicon Bangalore, which complements my work in digital electronics, power systems, and on-board chargers.I thrive in challenging environments and enjoy opportunities to innovate, particularly in the field of electric vehicles and power systems.
