With over 26 years of experience in the field of financial economics, I am currently the Group Chief Economist at Larsen & Toubro, a diversified conglomerate. Prior to this, I was the Chief Economist at Mahindra Group, where I established and led the economic research and forecasting unit for the group\'s various businesses and sectors. I also have a strong background in equity research, valuation and investments, having worked as a Senior Vice President and Economist at Axis Capital Ltd for over 12 years. I hold a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, and a Master\'s in Economics from Mumbai University as well as PGDBM in Finance besides a Bachelor\'s degree from K J Somaiya College of Arts Science & Commerce, University of Mumbai, where I was a Gold Medalist for being the best student. My core competencies include macroeconomic analysis, strategy formulation, market intelligence, data interpretation, and communication. I am passionate about applying my expertise in financial economics to help the group achieve its vision and goals, and to contribute to the economic development and growth of the country.
