Dr. Sachar graduated from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine with a DDS degree. After receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Degree, she continued her dental training for two years as a resident at New York Hospital Queens and as the chief resident at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center.Dr. Sachar then completed advanced dental training at Spear Education in Scottsdale, Arizona. This comprehensive dental training included advanced understanding and management of complex cases including occlusion, TMJ, full mouth reconstruction, cosmetic dentistry, porcelain veneers and whole smile makeovers. Later, she became a member of the Spear Education Faculty Club.Dr. Sachar also then went on to complete a mini-residency in “Airway Orthodontics” including understanding and management of dentistry in patients with sleep apnea, airway obstruction and breathing disorders.Dr. Sachar is currently on the Board of Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, Alumni Association. She is also a mentor to the graduating class of dental students. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the New York State Dental Association and the New York County Dental Society.Dr Sachar is former Chairperson of the Mentorship committee at the New York County Dental Society and is actively involved in the mentoring of new dentists in Manhattan, NYC. She is also a Committee Member and actively involved in the Membership Committee at New York County Dental Society in NYC.At Sachar Dental NYC, Dr. Sachar provides a full-service dental practice for everything from dental cleanings and simple fillings to implants and smile makeovers. However, she is perhaps best known for her exceptional ability to promote preventative care in her patients. Her gentle touch and personable nature are what make this practice feel more like a family.
