About Sabrina Zain
I am a creative, thoughtful, and driven product designer, devoted to keeping the user at the center of my designs through user research and user testing. As both an analytical and creative thinker, I love to develop unique, research-backed solutions to human problems. I am a balanced designer, thinking about the nitty-gritty details while maintaining sight of the big picture. I\'m based in the greater New York area. My 5 successful years in costume design for companies including Netflix, Marvel, and Starz have given me ample experience in visual research, design theory, team collaboration, effective communication, and developing creative solutions within extremely tight deadlines. These skills have shaped me into a highly capable and emotionally intelligent designer. I hold an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University and a UX Design certificate from the Flatiron School. Raised in the UK, Malaysia, and California, I closely identify with my global background, which has a significant influence on how I approach my work. I strive to improve the lives of people from all backgrounds through effortless, accessible, digital and physical design. As a multicultural person, I am passionate about cultural awareness, diversity, and inclusivity. I seek to emulate these qualities in my own personal and professional communities.
