ABOUT SABRINA SESSAREGO
I am an AICP certified Senior Lighting Planner at Clanton & Associates, where I focus on lighting master plans, lighting design, GIS-based evaluations of lighting systems, and planning projects that support safe, functional, and environmentally responsible communities.I hold a Bachelor\'s degree in Environmental Sciences from San Diego State University and a Master\'s degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University. My career began at Evari GIS Consulting, a long-standing partner of Clanton on field data collection, lighting design, and LED streetlight conversion projects. This experience introduced me to the technical requirements of street and area lighting and helped establish my foundation in geospatial analysis and data-driven lighting assessment.Prior to joining Clanton, I worked on long-range planning projects across Colorado and the Southwestern United States, including Comprehensive Plans, General Plans, Specific Plans, and Service Area Plans. My work included research, project management, technical writing, public engagement, and the integration of hazard mitigation and housing strategies into local planning frameworks. These projects strengthened my understanding of how lighting, mobility, land use, and environmental goals intersect in community planning. In my role at Clanton, I continue to use the Esri ArcGIS technology stack and Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat. I apply these tools to develop lighting master plan graphics, GIS mapping applications, analytical visualizations, proposals, and marketing materials. My work focuses on producing accurate, clear, and visually effective deliverables that support both planning and lighting design objectives.I am motivated by projects that improve safety, support walkable environments, and advance sustainability. My background in planning and my interest in lighting design guide my approach as I collaborate with engineers, designers, and planners to deliver solutions that enhance the quality of public spaces.
