About Sabrina Istrope
I am a narrative-driven storyteller focused on crafting work that centers Black and brown experiences, social and political justice, and deeply personal expression. My writing is rooted in the belief that stories are not just reflections of the world—but tools that shape it, preserve it, and challenge it.As a current student at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), I have received multiple awards and honors for my writing across academic and creative spaces. My work often lives at the intersection of cultural memory, identity, and inquiry—interrogating what we inherit, what we are taught to forget, and what it means to speak anyway.I am drawn to storytelling that sparks conversation, complicates dominant narratives, and invites audiences to sit with discomfort, curiosity, and truth. Whether through personal essays, screenwriting, or community-centered creative work, I aim to create narratives that are inclusive, historically preserving, and emotionally resonant.As I advance my career, I am focused on building intentional collaborations and creative teams that push the scope of narrative storytelling—work that is inclusive, historically preserving, emotionally resonant, and conversation-driving. I am drawn to artists, producers, and organizations who believe storytelling can disrupt dominant narratives while honoring the communities it represents.I am always open to meaningful collaboration and work rooted in care, rigor, and impact.
