ABOUT SABRINA BEATTIE-ROMERO
An experienced teacher who has seen firsthand the need for mental health services and high quality multilingual learner services in schools. A bilingual advocate with excellent communication skills who works to address systemic barriers to high quality education. A believer in high expectations and accountability, who seeks work that directly increases access to high quality education for all students, regardless of zip code, home language, or documentation status.Throughout my career, I have joyfully and passionately served over 350 students and families as a classroom teacher, site manager in training and most recently the first Multilingual Learning Coordinator on the regional team. In this role, I work alongside achievement managers and program directors to ensure all multilingual students have access to an excellent education. At Rocketship DC, our multilingual students in 2024 outperformed their peers in reading and math assessments, and made the most growth in a 20+ school charter network. In my building of this program, I have relied on meaningful relationships, asset based teaching and a deep commitment to my community. In my next role, I wish to continue serving students, families and the greater multilingual community through my program management and instructional delivery skillsets. I believe that we all have a role in supporting students and families to access the education that they deserve regardless of zip code, background and language and I would love to partner with organizations who are deeply committed to this work. I have experience with recruitment, customer service and support, event planning, data analysis, public speaking and writing for diverse audiences. I am open to opportunities to continue to serve and grow in my journey as a lifelong educator. I can be contacted at s••••••••@gmail.com.
