As a dedicated and experienced healthcare professional, I am enthusiastic about the prospect of contributing my skills and knowledge to an Anesthesiologist Assistant role. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Anesthesia at Nova Southeastern University, I am poised to bring a unique blend of education, hands-on experience, and a strong commitment to patient care. My academic journey, including a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Florida, has equipped me with a solid foundation in the sciences. This educational background, coupled with a minor in Religion and a certificate in Medical Anthropology, has instilled in me a holistic perspective on patient care, emphasizing the importance of understanding individual needs beyond the medical realm. My tenure as an Anesthesia Technician at Mayo Clinic has been instrumental in honing my practical skills. I have actively participated in and observed a wide range of surgical cases, spanning orthopedics, neurology, urology, and trauma, across multiple operating floors. In this fast-paced environment, I have excelled in providing crucial support to anesthesia providers, demonstrating proficiency in patient monitoring, transport, positioning, and the insertion of invasive lines. Beyond the operating room, my experience as a Certified Registered Pharmacy Technician at Publix Pharmacy has strengthened my ability to calculate dosages, dispense medications accurately, and navigate complex healthcare scenarios. My responsibilities included resolving dosage conflicts, managing drug and equipment inventory, and administering vaccines. These experiences have refined my attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure, essential qualities for success in the field of anesthesiology. My commitment to patient welfare extends beyond the clinical setting. In volunteer roles at St. Vincent’s Medical Center and Rosy Care Resource Centre, I played pivotal roles in ongoing patient care, admissions, discharges, and communications. These experiences have nurtured my dedication to patient safety, confidentiality, and compassionate care.
