About Sabrina Micallef
I am a Psychology & Family Development and Nutritional Sciences student at Queens College with hands-on experience in research, behavioral health, and leadership. My academic journey combines work in developmental psychology, social and personality psychology, and applied behavior analysis (ABA), with a strong interest in how attachment and emotion regulation shape mental health.Currently, I am conducting research at Queens College’s Social & Personality Lab, where I code and analyze behavioral and emotional data to explore how people navigate relationships and self-regulation. I also worked as a Research Assistant at the Autism Origin Labs, where I promoted studies, collected and analyzed data, and studied the Mullen Scales of Early Learning. These roles have strengthened my skills in qualitative and quantitative data analysis, SPSS, and behavioral coding. My professional background includes delivering 1:1 ABA therapy at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in clinical, home, and school settings. I also bring strong leadership experience as a Walgreens Shift Lead, where I managed teams, resolved conflicts, and ensured smooth operations in a high-volume environment. This combination of research, clinical training, and management has fueled my long-term goal of becoming a clinical psychologist who contributes to both evidence-based practice and psychological research. I am especially passionate about the intersections of, emotion regulation and eating disorders.
