ABOUT SABRINA MENGARONI

I\'m responsibile for production and maintenance of heat treatment and pickling in a cold department that produce stainless steel, I manage more than 150 people. This job allows me to improve the knowledge about plants, maintenance and process production and at the same time I\'m improving soft skills such as assertivity, time management and decision skills. I have knowledge about refractory materials performanes also. I worked in collaboration with suppliers, purchasing office and production plants. I have a large knowledge about R&D, European Projects and laboratories departments. In particular I worked in thermo-mechanical heat treatment, mechanical and microstructural behaviour of both carbon and stainless steels. I worked in collaboration with international research center, companies and universities in Italy (Acciai Speciali Terni, Centro Sviluppo Materiali, Elica S.p.A, Università degli Studi di Perugia, Università Politecnica delle Marche), Germany (IEHK-RWTH), South Korea (GIFT) and Canada (Montreal University). A large part of my activities are published in almost 50 papers divided into conferences and international reviews. I attended many seminars and courses in conferences and at the university as a professor. I work according with the quality assurance: ASME, ISO 9001 (I’m auditor also) and UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 (always last edition). I have the GREEN BELT certification and I used to apply LEAN instruments in my job, I worked in the logistic department using WCM instruments. I think I’m a person systematic and precise, but at the same time I’m able to manage the unexpected events. I have an important tecnica knowledge but at the sale time I have different soft skills. I have always interesting in improving my self.
