About Sabrina Lilleby

Hi, I’m Sabrina! Doctoral candidate in Anthropology at UT Austin (exp. graduation date January 2024) with a Master’s Degree in Gender Studies (political economy track) from the American University in Cairo. Born in a tiny Norwegian village but now a happy albeit sneezing resident of Austin, self declared allergy capital of the US. In addition to living in the US and Norway, I’ve also lived in Canada, Egypt and Hong Kong. I have 9 years experience in qualitative research doing: literature reviews, surveys, field studies, focus groups, ethnographic observation, semi-structured and un-structured interviews. I design, conduct, analyze and report on studies. As for my future, I want to use my research skills to solve problems collaboratively. In my free time, you can find me scuba diving (I’m a certified rescue diver), or, designing and making my own clothes. Strengths: Research design, analysis, storytelling.
