About Sabrina Hall
Assistant Director of Development at Vanderbilt University on the Discovery Team. I\'m also a proud Spartan, having earned my BA in Public Policy and Environment and Health Studies from Michigan State University. Outside of my professional experience in higher ed and non-profit spaces, I have also spent time working on boats in Southwest Florida and volunteering with local farms and schools on Hawai\'i. I have continued to purse my passion for conservation and sustainability by organizing a Surfrider Foundation chapter in Paradise Coast, Florida, where I serve as Chair. These experiences have allowed me to thrive as a development professional by teaching me how to cultivate meaningful relationships and make a positive impact on my community. Partnering with Surfrider Foundation to establish a new chapter dedicated to protecting Southwest Florida’s ocean, waves, and beaches- Developing and executing impactful events, such as beach cleanups and educational workshops, to raise awareness and promote environmental stewardship- Overseeing volunteer activities and coordinating chapter operations to foster a collaborative environment and empower individuals in coastal preservation efforts- Leading grassroots environmental campaigns addressing plastic pollution and clean water issues- Engaging local businesses and non-profit organizations to build partnerships and support chapter initiatives- Managing chapter’s social media presence, creating engaging content to inform and connect with the community- Participating in regional and nationwide meetings with other Surfrider chapter leaders to share fundraising strategies, gain insights on key environmental issues, and adopt best practices to enhance our collective impact- Utilizing event and volunteer management systems such as HubSpot and Golden to ensure efficient operations- Leading fundraising efforts both online and in-person to support environmental programs and activities.
