ABOUT SABRINA GROVER
Sabrina is an experienced advocacy, policy and communications professional who has worked extensively with civil society and non-profit organizations both in the Canadian and international contexts. This work has included advocacy for gender equality through improved nutrition for women and girls, as well as around advocacy for participation and inclusion of women in democratic and political processes. Sabrina most recently worked with Nutrition International pursuing advocacy both within Canada and beyond with organizations like the World Health Organization, the World Bank and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Her role was to ensure nutrition remained a priority in the global health agenda through advocacy with both the Canadian government and international organizations. Much of this work was through joint facilitation and policy development with international coalitions and working groups. She helped shape the policy work of Canada’s civil society working group for the Nutrition for Growth Summit (N4G) ultimately driving Canada\'s 2020 financial and policy commitments to nutrition. Sabrina previously worked in Government Relations with the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) focusing on government affairs and legislation related to housing at the federal level. Sabrina\'s work with CREA focused on developing policies to help promote homeownership and to ensure that Canada continues to maintain its housing market. Additionally, Sabrina helped to develop and curate CREA\'s grassroots advocacy network by working with REALTORS across the country in building relationships with their MPs. Outside of her professional career, Sabrina presently served as part of the executive team of the Young Diplomats of Canada and as the co-chair of the Youth 7 (Y7) summit which serves as the formal side engagement to the G7 as part of Canada\'s 2018 G7 presidency. Sabrina spent over 10 years working in developing programs for youth academic conferences focused on the United Nations in Calgary, Seattle, Portland and New York.
