In this role, I got the opportunity to take on more design work. I also designed visually appealing print, digital, and mobile billboards for the Pontiac School District in Michigan to promote their educational programs and increase enrollment. Additionally, I developed branded course catalogs and flyers to showcase the district\'s public school advanced career program. I also had the opportunity to design the Spotify logo for the \"Famous Last Words\" podcast. As an assistant producer for the podcast, I made strategic marketing and social media plans.

ABOUT SABRINA THOMPSON

Hello! My name is Sabrina, and I am a multimedia artist and graphic designer based in Brooklyn. I hold a degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan. I am currently pursuing an MFA in Fine Arts with a minor in Transmedia and Digital Storytelling (Media content creation and design) at Parsons School of Design. With over five years of experience in Public Relations, Brand Strategy, and Graphic Design, I am confident in creating designs that make a lasting impression. My work has ranged from designing billboards and logos to creating brand guidelines, websites, and social media content plans. I am a quick learner and passionate about using art and design to solve problems. I also have experience leading and teaching art. For five summers, I created lesson plans. I taught various fine arts and crafts to campers aged 3 to 95 at Michigania, Michigan’s Alumni Camp. This year, I was nominated for the prestigious AICAD Post-Graduate Teaching Fellowship and selected to be the Student Representative of my cohort. I was the Public Relations Head for the Spring and Fall 2023 Open Studios. Additionally, I co-run the Parsons MFA Fine Arts Student account. I ran a successful campaign during Black History Month last year, highlighting Black alums and addressing racial disparities within my program. I am passionate about creating space for BIPOC artists. This semester, I had the privilege of curating a BIPOC-only group show exploring cosmic memory, decolonized histories, generational trauma, and love. I was also selected to be the Student Representative of my MFA cohort. I am always looking to connect with like-minded professionals and am excited about what the future holds!
