ABOUT SABA KADLEC
I am a clinical development specialist with 10+ years of experience as a practicing ophthalmologist, that was preceded by a fellowship in corneal external disease and refractive surgery from the Illinois Eye & Ear Infirmary. I have always been passionate about innovation and adoption of new technology, and feel fortunate to now be working at some of the most exciting companies in the eye care industry. While my clinical specialty was corneal surgery, my industry experience includes both anterior and posterior eye disease. In industry roles, I have been responsible for designing, executing, and overseeing the clinical trials, as well as collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and investigators. Currently I am working as a Consultant at Aurion Biotech, supporting clinical development, surgeon training, and clinical affairs as well as for Opthea, supporting clinical development and safety monitoring of their phase Shore study.
