ABOUT SABA JAMWAL

Saba is a Mental Health Counselor. She holds Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Saba’s experience includes working for Centre for Mental Health as a Child Counselor as well as a Research Assistant in the Project- ‘An Exploration of Mental Health and Resilience Narratives of Migrant Workers in India using community theatre methodology, at TISS, DMU, IHMP and NIMHANS, she also published a paper on ‘Reflections on the use of mental health resilience concepts in migration and global mental health in Taylor and Francis. Saba’s experience varies from working with community mental health, child counselling and remediation program as well as working with adolescents and young adults. Saba believes in a strengths based approach that is holistic, eclectic and guided by the individual needs of the client. She also realizes how important it is to identify all aspects of an individual’s life that impact their well-being. A holistic, strength based, person centered approach guides her practice. She believes in unconditional positive regard. She continues to seek ongoing updates to her skills and knowledge base. Art, colors and music are therapeutic to her. She is a nature lover, she love beaches, mountains, sunsets, enjoys travelling, love animals and wishes to run an Animal Welfare Ngo in future. She believes in finding happiness in little things
