ABOUT SABA SABINE AMEER
Sabine Ameer is an architect-urban planner and has graduated from the University of Birmingham, England with an MSc in Conflict, State-building and Development. She is currently working in the communication sector in India and the United Kingdom and simultaneously pursuing her research that aims to decipher debates and discourses around the nexus between cultural heritage and human security. Her previous research focuses on understanding the impact of conflicts on urban development within South Asian and Middle-eastern contexts. Her interdisciplinary research lies at the intersection of urban studies, politics and security studies. Her ongoing research,\'Cultural heritage-human security nexus: Understanding the expression of security, securitisation and statebuilding through cultural heritage,\' examines the interlinkages between cultural heritage and human security within a conflict context. In doing so, her work analyses whether and how transnational NGOs advanced cultural heritage securitisation with regional focus on the Middle East.
