About Saarim Khakwani
I am currently a PPA 18 student at the University of Texas at Dallas pursuing my Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting and will graduate in 2026 and plan to continue to pursue my Master\'s Degree and be CPA-eligible by May 2027. Also, I am currently seeking an internship for a Tax Intern in Public Accounting for Spring 2026Saarim Khakwani is a hard-working individual who values family, faith, and fun. His goal in life is to inspire the world positively while being able to remain satisfied with the quality of work he is doing. Saarim holds a variety of skills from being a natural-born leader to exceptional problem-solving skills, he uses his abilities to ensure work gets done rather than in hopes of recognition. He has led his way through Boy Scouts and is now an Eagle Scout serving as an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 758; he coached a basketball team to 2nd and 3rd place standing after not ranking in previous tournaments; he also finds new ways to make life more efficient. A little insight into my values, I am the oldest child on my mother\'s side of the family and have seven younger cousins along with my younger brother who looks up to me as a role model, my goal is not only to inspire them but to live up to the expectations set by my parents. Both of my uncles are CPAs and they have inspired me to become one as well and take a chance in the accounting world. My family doesn\'t just consist of people to whom I am related by blood but also people whom I can trust and count on. I am a Shia Imami Ismaili Muslim and that plays a huge role in who I am as a person from my voluntary work to my identity as a Muslim in America. When you ask to make plans I am usually the first person ready to party. I believe in the idea that you only live once and you should take full advantage of every opportunity given to you not only in your personal life but in your work life as well. Partying to me can mean many different things whether that be having dinner with my friends or having a movie night with my family and that is how I express myself. Though I am considered the life of the party I can make the judgment between right and wrong and what my priorities are during the current situation. When moving into a new environment these are the three things I value most am I setting a good example for my family and will they be proud of me, will this new environment allow me to continue to follow my faith to the best of my ability, and will this environment accept for who I am?
