About Saani Ausaf

I am a Senior Engineer at Shipt. I am responsible to build and maintain data pipelines for more than 120 retailers to ensure highly scalable database management systems. I have worked on several projects to ensure a system with improved automation and better data quality for my company. I work on different technologies at shipt including Python, Postgresql, Airflow-dags, Golang, Kafka, Kubernetes and AWSI have also worked as a Software Engineer in the Recommendation Infrastructure Team of Wayfair LLC at Boston, USA. I built admin tools used by the recommendation team to store information about Wayfair products and manufacturers that helped to generate ads for the recommended products based on MVC Architecture using SQL, PhpStorm, and React. I built strategies in Python and database schemas to recommend different products that helped in improving the customer personalization experience for our e-commerce website.As a Professional Assistant Software Engineer in Tata Consultancy Services, working for our client- State Bank of India for almost one year, I gained knowledge about the critical issues arising in production systems, the process of solving client issues, and improving their experiences, application life-cycle management, etc. I also gained apprehension about how to handle and maintain a database at a large scale and what it takes to build an efficient system that serves the purpose.I have worked as an Intern at Bosch Security Systems, Inc. and developed a machine learning algorithm on entry and exit counts based on data from electronic sensors. I extracted the meta-data generated by video surveillance by improving and extending the python libraries. I analyzed and visualized this data to extract useful features for our algorithm. I worked with a high-performing Agile Team using some latest tools for the purpose of development.
