Evaluating the impact of Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs) on city-wide GHG emissions through meso dynamic traffic assignment modeling (Bentley’s Dynameq). Investigating optimal driving characteristics for connected and automated vehicles under different traffic conditions by conducting a comprehensive set of meso-scope simulations for the Ottawa region. Forecasting transportation demand at neighborhood and corridor levels using demand modeling software. Developed a methodology for forecasting electric vehicle charging hotspots in urban areas using historical EV registration data, socio-economic data, and government EV sales targets. The methodology was applied to the city of Ottawa to forecast EVs per household for its census tract areas up to the year 2035. Utilized ArcGIS software to present an EV hotspot map. Developed an ArcGIS national map forecasting annual CO2 source emissions from hydrogen production sites for transportation, rail and marine energy demand fueling. Investigating duty cycles for medium-duty and heavy-duty vehicles. Collaborating with various industry partners and government departments.
