About Saachi Singh

I am a policy and coordination professional working at the intersection of gender equality, social development, and UN system accountability. Over the past two years at UN Women, I have built experience across research and analysis, intergovernmental processes, inter-agency coordination, and knowledge management, working to ensure that global policy commitments translate into coherent institutional action.My deepest area of focus is gender and population ageing. I believe population ageing is one of the defining structural shifts of our time, and that older women remain consistently under-represented in how we respond to it, in policy, in data, and in the institutions tasked with driving change. Much of my work has been about closing that gap: shaping normative frameworks, building the analytical case, and creating tools that help organisations at every level make ageing visible and actionable.Before the UN, I spent four years with Teach For India, which gave me an early grounding in how educational inequity, gender inequality, and lack of basic services compound each other in the lives of real communities and why systems-level change has to reckon with all of it.I hold a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University\'s School of International and Public Affairs, with a concentration in Economic and Political Development.
