About Sandy Nguyen
I’m passionate about expanding what feels possible for young people. As Director of Career Programs at the Academy Group in Boston, I lead multi-year career development initiatives that center equity, access, and purpose. My work connects high school students with real-world opportunities through industry exposure, work-based learning, and personalized advising to help them discover their strengths and imagine futures they hadn’t considered before.Previously, I managed healthcare training programs at Mass General Brigham, building pathways into the medical field for Boston students through strong partnerships with schools and hospital professionals. I’ve also supported first-generation and low-income students at Boston University Upward Bound and led workforce development efforts at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.Across all roles, I’ve remained committed to creating meaningful educational and career opportunities for historically marginalized communities. I believe career readiness is more than job prep—it’s about helping young people align their values, build confidence, and pursue lives of purpose. Ultimately, my work is a means of driving economic mobility and growth for individuals, families, and communities.
