Started in 1981 as Volunteer for WSVFD-Kanawha County Station 22. Have held positions of Firefighter, Fire/Arson Investigatior, PADI Certified Rescue & Deep SCUBA Diver, Lieutenant, Training Officer and Engineer/Specialist. Received extensive training (413 uncredited hours through West Virginia University /RESA Fire Service Instruction and University of Maryland Fire Service Academy) over 30 years of service. I am also a WVU/RESA Certified Fire Service Instructor. Due to Physical Disability in 2003, I can no longer fight fire, but assist as Engineer/Specialist, Training & Fire Investigations, in a limited manner.
