About S. Jacob Scherr
I was with the Natural Resources Defense Council for almost four decades as an attorney and advocate on the full range of global environmental challenges. Since leaving NRDC\'s staff in 2014, I have continued work on developing a new global architecture to accelerate action on climate change and more generally sustainable development. I was a co-producer of an art installation at the Eiffel Tower to call attention to this new architecture for the \"Climate Revolution\"that emerged from Paris Climate Summit in December 2015. More recently I have been focusing on the September 2018 Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco that could provide new momentum for the needed transformations in energy, transport, buildings, and other sectors. The Summit will add to the tens of thousands of commitments to climate action from leaders at every level of government, business, and civil society worldwide. I have been exploring the use of big data and AI to inform and inspire increased efforts and provide more accountability.
