About Sreejato Chatterjee
I’m a senior at the University of Rochester pursuing a dual degree in Computational Biology and Data Science. My current work focuses on (a) analyzing population-level genomic variation and disease associations in noncoding regulatory regions using bioinformatic and statistical genomic methods, and (b) developing LLM-based frameworks to quantify structural oppression and its effects on health outcomes across global populations. I\'m interested in applying AI and computational genomics to study disease mechanisms and population health at scale while critically examining how social and environmental factors shape the biological variation we observe and how data biases influence scientific inference.I am also committed to serving the greater community and fostering mentorship, accessibility and inclusion in and out of the STEM field.
