I am both a self-taught and university educated infosec specialist with a penchant for getting into projects on or near the cutting edge. I constantly challenge myself and push my boundaries, and I am quick to learn new skillsets that are needed to solve the task or challenge at hand. Although my background is in engineering, I have acquired and developed an acute business acumen throughout my experiences, which I leverage to maintain a practical and grounded perspective.Drawing upon more than 15 years of experience in security research, development, operations and consulting I strive to build security programs that deliver measurable results through academic rigor and agile delivery. I have a track record of delivering lasting security outcomes in complex environments with diverse stakeholders and ever changing constraints. My goal is to provide reliable and tested security outcomes, I don’t simply “check the box” or focus on vanity metrics. I believe in optimizing efficiency as well as effectiveness, understanding the time and cost pressures of the modern security organization. I am respected by my teams because I take ownership and work beside them through the hard challenges, and I’m trusted by my stakeholders because I work hard to understand their needs and deliver the most desirable outcomes for all parties.I am also a strong believer in contributing to the \"greater good\" of the security community, sharing information and lessons learned, and steering our globally limited resources towards the highest yield security research and products.
