As a professional, I have had the good fortune of working for companies that believe in investing in talent, and providing opportunities for both personal and professional growth. As both an Operations leader and a Talent Development professional, my understanding of success factors like customer perception (both internal and external customers), profitability, efficiency, and a maintaining a healthy culture has led me to success and advancement consistently throughout my career. I have worked in the small business, tight group setting as well as the large, corporate, remote meeting type of environment. In each, I was promoted to a position of management. I use my understanding of business principles and practices as well as my understanding of people\'s behavior, learning styles, and sense of personal values to motivate a group of individuals to achieve group success.As a Talent Development professional, I have acquired significant experience in both processes and people. I have found that any development program must be geared towards the learner first, then the content second. Understanding and speaking to the learner in a way they can easily interpret improves retention of the content, and unlocks “discretionary effort” which improves performance.I have extensive experience in leadership development, succession planning, competency identification, and performance management, in addition to instructional design and delivery.
