About Ryan Melone
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a drive to heal and educate those in need of mental health care. I started my professional journey at St. Peter\'s Crime Victim Services for four years, providing trauma-sensitive supportive counseling and therapy to survivors of crime, with a focus on working with college students. Following a relocation to California, I joined the team at St. Anthony\'s Medical Clinic, part of the St. Anthony Foundation, as a Behavioral Health Clinician, offering care for those suffering from homelessness and poverty, trauma, and substance use/ addiction. I currently practice full-time through BetterHelp, providing top-notch, compassionate mental health care to those struggling with a wide range of emotional and mental health needs in both New York and California. I rely on an integration of multiple theories of counseling psychology, including client-centered therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, to tailor my approach to meet an individual\'s needs. My personal style, which combines a trauma-informed knowledge base with a warm, supportive, approachable nature, enables me to work with individuals of all ages, sexes, genders, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, religions, and economic backgrounds. I bring an especially strong listening ear to my work, which allows me to employ personalized clinical interventions, develop comprehensive treatment plans, and maintain strong therapeutic and professional relationships. I am ready to join a team that leans on individualized care, group healing, and diverse clinical approaches to instill hope and elicit positive change in clients\' lives.
